SURVIVAL TIPS Premieres in December on WND TV
Realistically, we can’t be extreme preppers, at least not most of us. We have jobs, mortgages, and friends and family, and we can’t just up and leave all that because one day something bad might happen. About 90% of us live in urban and suburban areas, where the jobs are, where the groceries are, the schools, the churches, the tools of our trades. What we have to do is prepare for likely emergencies, things that happen every year, almost everywhere, and we need to be able to do this without disrupting real life.
I do this “SnoMan” persona on my videos for entertainment, but the fact is, I’m a real person with a real wife, real kids, a real life, and real responsibilities. Running this blog and making the videos is fun, but it doesn’t pay the bills. But this stuff is important. I’m not kidding when I say “when you prepare for emergencies, you’re not just helping yourself — you’re helping everybody.” For a couple of years I’ve been trying to figure out how I can help people be better prepared, so when an emergency comes up, not only are you more likely to get through it, but also you’ll be in a position to help those in your care and those who can’t help themselves. I’d like to do more with this blog and with the videos, but I have to take care of my family.
Well, now we can do this, and for you nothing changes!
There have been some very exciting recent developments here at SNO Multimedia. It started early this year when I got a call from Joseph Farrah at World Net Daily; he had seen the SNOmultimedia channel on YouTube and wanted me to produce a series for his burgeoning online network, WND TV. Here’s how it all went down.
We met at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville — Joseph Farrah, his VP for programming development George Escobar, and me. We had a great brainstorming meeting at the end of which he declared that he was going to go back to D.C. and tell his people to make the deal happen. That’s exactly what happened.
Within days I got a call from CEO Paul Niedermeyer, and over the next several months we worked up a deal that I hadn’t even dreamed of when I started the YouTube channel. I’ll be producing one episode per week for a show called SURVIVAL TIPS, and they’ll also distribute 4 DVDs per year on the subject of emergency preparedness — up to 10 a year, in fact, if I can deliver them.
About SURVIVAL TIPS
Survival Tips will take a uniquely practical approach to preparedness by demonstrating self-reliance skills that are relevant for urban and suburban residents which, as I mentioned, is about 90% of our population. The show will start at the beginning, so experienced preppers will be familiar with the content, but as always, each episode will include information that’s useful for any level of preparedness expertise. Of course, Survival News Online will continue to publish an article that provides additional information and detail on the subject of each episode.
- You’ll be able to watch right here at Survival News Online
- Premieres December 4 2013
- There will be one episode per week
- Learn skills that make you more self-reliant
- Focuses on practical ways to integrate prep into your everyday urban or suburban lifestyle
- Episodes run approximately 5-6 minutes
I owe a great debt of gratitude to my readers on the blog and to express my gratitude to my YT subscribers, I will continue to produce exclusive YouTube content. If you have any requests for episode topics, let us know!
SURVIVAL TIPS PROMO VIDEO
Hi,
I would like to share this quick tip explaining how to find the East-West direction line just by using sun’s position & stick shadow path.
Sun compass Method to find approximate East-West directions.
Put the stick vertically in dry ground & used stick shadow’s path difference to determine East-West directions.
Put the Red stone as shadow marker for initial position &
later(about an hour) put the second marker for latest shadow
position. The stick I found was having a bend so result was approximate
but was indeed pretty ok for casual reference.
This is particularly useful when you don’t have magnetic compass or Night(stars reference) for finding directions.
See this video for proper explanation of the process.

Perhaps you can make a quick tip video on this topic as well.
Thanks.
Great minds think alike! I’ve already shot the video and will release it in the next few weeks. Thanks for sharing this!
This is the image.
Good luck on the new endeavor. Hope you can incorporate the importance of amateur radio into one of your videos when, not if the you know what hits the fan.
